The Faeries of Gossamer Glen are distinctly different in their appearance. One of their many defining characteristics is that they have only three fingers. That, along with their unique shimmering skin tones, pointed toes, androgynous body types and expressively large eyes, gives them a look all their own. Enchanting, magical and other worldly. These are the Faeries of Gossamer Glen.

Inspiration Faeries - Soft Body Sculpts

These magical faeries feature soft bodies over a wire armature that can be positioned in a variety of different poses. Their heads, hands and feet have been hand sculpted from custom blended polymer clays. Their delicate features are hand painted and sealed. Also included is a fine filament cord that allows them to "fly" freely, but may be removed if desired. Each Faerie comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and is a signed and dated, one of a kind, original work of art. Due to the nature of the soft body construction, there may be similarities in the look of the faerie's bodies, but every face, and set of hands and feet, and wings are completely unique. No shortcuts are ever taken. Every aspect of every faerie is created completely by the hand and imagination of Marchella. No molds (or fungi) are ever used in these magical creations! Approximately 6 - 6 1/2" tall (15 - 17 cm).

Full Body Faerie Sculptures

Each fully articulated Faerie sculpture is an original, one of a kind work of art. A truly unique vision in polymer clay down to the minutest of details. Meticulously sculpted from custom blended colored clays over a wire armature, from the tiny pointed ears, down to the tiny separated fingers, complete with fingernails. Total attention to detail is evident, especially in the bone structure and musculature. The delicate hand painted features are painted with a brush consisting of 3 hairs. The eyes alone contain numerous thin layers of pigment for the most effective depth and realism. Their sheer, strong, flexible wings are constructed from a special process. Some are highly transparent, while others appear more opaque. These faeries vary in their size, ranging from 1 1/2" up to 4" or 5" in height. Hair will vary from synthetic to wool, to mohair, or whatever else suits the faerie at the time. The same applies to their clothing or jewelry. Each faerie is a true one of a kind and cannot be duplicated. So please do not ask! No attempt will be made to duplicate any Gossamer Glen Faerie, however, custom faeries may be ordered.
